BREEAM ENE01 Energy Credits
ENE01, Reduction of Energy Use and Carbon Emissions, is assessed in two separate parts, and which service you need depends on which part of the credit you’re targeting.
The regulated energy credits are assessed from the BRUKL output of your Part L2 compliance model, comparing the building’s predicted energy consumption and CO2 emissions against the notional building. If you already need a Part L2 assessment for building control, the same BRUKL report supports this part of ENE01 directly.
Up to four further credits are available for Prediction of Operational Energy Consumption, assessed using the CIBSE TM54 methodology. This is a different piece of modelling, looking at how the building is likely to perform in use, including unregulated loads like small power, lifts and catering, rather than its regulated compliance position.
