Sustainability & Energy Statement
Most planning authorities now require planning applications to include a Sustainability & Energy Statement for a new development.
Detailed, professional statements play an important role in ensuring planning consent for a development. Local Authorities often have their own unique requirements and we work closely with them to tailor each assessment to meet their needs.
In a similar manner to Low and Zero Carbon (LZC) assessments, an energy statement will:
- Identify your buildings CO2 emissions and energy consumption.
- Make recommendations on fabric first energy savings.
- Investigate the Energy Hierarchy – Lean, Clean, Green – to determine the most effective way to reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption.
- Investigate all LZC technologies that are appropriate for your building.
- Detailed analysis of the most appropriate technology including CO2 and energy savings, cost and payback.
- Demonstrate how the target can be met.
- Provide a comprehensive and clear report detailing the above.
Walker Energy Analysis has a wealth of experience providing Energy & Sustainability statements, LZC feasibility reports for local authorities, The Greater London Authority (GLA) energy assessments, and BREEAM compliance
